World Engineers' Convention
(Shanghai
2004)
The General Assembly WFEO decided to install the
WEC as a
fixed institutional event fr the world wide techincal community,realized
each 4-5 years, in different countries, like an olympiad of Engineers,
organized by a leading national engineering society,under
the aegis of WFEO. The Chinese Engineering Organizations have decided to
organize the second WEC in Shanghai in the year 2004.
The Chinese
Association for Science and Technology (CAST) will join forces with the
chinese Acadmy of Engineering (CAE) and the Shanghai Association for
Seience and Technology (SAST) to set up waht is going to become the second
"World Engineers' Convention" UNESCO will participate in this
event and thus contribute in perpetuating the concept and the associated
publication of the "World Engineering and Technology Report",for
the benefit of the community of engineers and of mankind as a whole.

The Wind Engineering Institute of Korea (WEIK) and Korea Advanced
Institute of Science and Technology(KAIST), Seoul, Korea are organizing
the Sixth Asia-Pacific Conference on Wind Engineering(APCW-VI) at
Millennium Seoul Hilton Hotel, Seoul, Korea, 12-14 September2005 on behalf
of ISWE.
