India hosts the General Assembly of FEISCA at Chandigarh during April 8-9, 2006

 

 The Federation of Engineering Institutions of South and Central Asia (FEISCA) is an international organisation established in 1981 with the objective of promoting general advancement of engineering and engineering science and their application in the region of South and Central Asia, encouraging study of utilisation of facilities in the region with mutual co-operation and facilitating exchange of information and ideas on subject of interest among its members.

The institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India and Nepal Engineers' Association are its constituent members. IEI holds the Secretariat of FEISCA since 2003.

The 11th General Assembly of FEISCA and the 35th and 36th Meetings of the Executive Committee are being organized at Chandigarh during April 8-9, 2006 by the Punjab & Chandigarh State Centre of the Institution. A Regional Seminar on 'New Opportunities in Power Sector in South & Central Asia' is also being held concurrently. The Seminar will focus on the current scenario in the power sector in the region. This two-day programme, formatted for varied presentation under different sub-themes, is designed to encourage large participation from neighbouring countries as well as from India.
