during the WFEO Executive Council schedule at Chicago to transact the following agenda :

2.     Approval of agenda

3.     Confirmation of the Minutes of meeting held on 17
        October 2005 at Puerto Rico. (Annexure-A).

4.     To report on the action taken on the minutes of last
         meeting

5.      Publication of the Newsletter & Website

6.      To discuss and chalk out plans / programme for the
         Committee till 2007.

7.      Proposed WFEO 2007 General Assembly, Executive
         Council, STC Meetings and World Congress on “Urban
         Infrastructure in Developing countries” New Delhi in
        October 2007.

8. To discuss about environmental problems during Olympic
Games and similar other big games and finalize the
documents prepared by Mr. Spyros Papagrigoriou.

11th General Assembly of FEISCA at Chandigarh (India) on 8-9 April 2006

The Federation of Engineering Institutions of South & Central Asia (FEISCA) – an international organization established in 1981 held its 11th General Assembly at Chandigarh, India, on 8 - 9 April 2006 under the auspices of The Institution of Engineers (India). Representatives of National Members from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and host country India participated in the General Assembly and Executive Committee Meetings. New office bearers were elected during Assembly for the term 2006 - 2008.

As an adjunct to the General Assembly, a Regional Seminar on "New Opportunities in Power Sector in South & Central Asia" was also held concurrently on 8 - 9 April 2006 to focus on the current scenario in the power sector in the Region. The two-day programme formatted for varied presentation under different subthemes provided an opportunity to the delegates to deliberate on problems being faced by the neighbouring countries in the power sector. The technical sessions were rich and in all, 20 papers out of 25 papers selected, were presented in the four technical sessions. About 325 delegates including 25 delegates from neighbouring countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Nepal participated in the Seminar.

India Hosts – 2007 WFEO General Assembly

WFEO General Assembly, the Executive Council and Standing Committee Meetings of WFEO will be held at New Delhi on 12-16 November 2007 concurrently with the World congress on “Urban Infrastructure in Developing Countries.” The Committee extends a most cordial invitation to participate in this mega event and actively take part in the deliberations.
