WORLD CONGRESS ON URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES NEW DELHI, INDIA : NOVEMBER 12-16, 2007

Dear Colleague,

It is my pleasure and privilege to extend a warm welcome to global, regional and national experts and to all young professionals and students to the World Congress on .Urban Infrastructure in Developing Countries. to be held at New Delhi during 12-16 November2007.

The Congress is being organized by The Institution of Engineers (India) under the aegis of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) concurrently with the WFEO General Assembly, Executive Council, Technical Standing Committee Meetings, etc.

The Congress will offer a multi-disciplinary forum for technocrats involved in the provision and maintenance of every item of infrastructure (transport, water supply, waste water treatment, solid waste disposal, power, logistics, health and education facilities and many others), visionaries, planners, sociologists, policy makers, academics and the development fraternity, experts in finance and many others from all over the world to draw a road map in developing countries to enhance the quality of life, reckoned in an all encompassing manner of the urban citizens.

Warm Indian hospitality envelopes the variety of cultural and social programmes being arranged during the Congress and also sight-seeing programmes for the accompanying persons. On behalf of the Congress, I take this opportunity to invite one and all to participate in this important world event on an open platform for one-to-one interaction and deliberations.

With good wishes for 2007,

                                 B J Vasoya
